Ohio Price Transparency Law Takes Effect

Ohio has enacted a health care price transparency law, reports ABC6. Passed as part of HB 173 in December 2024, hospitals are required to post exact prices of available services online for public viewing. Hospitals that are not in compliance would face penalties including fines. Federal guidelines already require that hospitals post prices to the public, however some stakeholders held that many Ohio hospitals were not in compliance.
