Colorado Tightens Rules on Physician Noncompete Agreements

A new Colorado law further restricts nonsolicit and noncompete agreements for health care providers, reports ColoradoBiz. Beginning August 6, such agreements will rarely be enforceable, making it easier for physicians to move between jobs and for patients to maintain access to care. Lawmakers say the measure will help lower costs by increasing provider competition. Existing agreements signed before the effective date are exempt from the new restrictions.
