NJ Residents to Residents to Receive Additional $100 Million in Medical Debt Relief
An estimated 127,000 additional New Jersey families will receive medical debt relief, reportsĀ CBS News. As part of an initiative to make health care more affordable through a state partnership with the nonprofit Undue Medical Debt and funded by leftover federal pandemic aid, the initiative purchases past-due debt from hospitals, benefiting residents below the poverty line or those with significant debt relative to income.
