Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnancy

In an ALERTs release by Alabama Medicaid, the state notified all Obstetricians/Gynecologists and all other Maternal Medical Professionals of the implementation of Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnancy (PEP) on October 1, 2025. Allowing pregnant women early access to ambulatory prenatal care while their application for Medicaid is under review. The plan covers services such as office visits, labs, and radiology, but does not cover inpatient services or dental services.
