Idaho Introduces Medicaid Work Requirements, Other Reforms

Idaho has passed HB 345, mandating that any state plan amendment or waiver that results in any changes to the Medicaid State Plan must receive authorization from the legislature before taking effect, reports Idaho News 6. The new law also directs the department to implement work requirements for adults enrolled in Medicaid; specifying that participants must work, study, or volunteer at least 20 hours a week to be eligible for the program.
