Maryland has passed legislation making permanent subsidies for people ages 18-37 that buy health insurance on the state marketplace and earn up to 400% of the federal poverty level, reports WYPR. Under HB297/SB5, Maryland’s existing Adult Youth Subsidy Program will be made permanent and funded through 2028, with subsidies taking effect July 1, 2025.
