South Dakota Survey Finds Residents Struggle with Healthcare Costs

Many South Dakotans struggle with healthcare costs and worry about affording future care, reports Mitchell Now. According to a national survey from the West Health-Gallup Center for Healthcare in America, nearly half of South Dakotans worry they won’t be able to afford needed healthcare in the coming year, over one third had concerns about paying for prescriptions in the coming year, and roughly one in five said healthcare costs constituted a major financial burden for them or their family.
